The Business Person of the Year Award is issued annually by The Brampton Board of Trade to an individual that has exemplified leadership in their business and in their community.
"Neil has demonstrated a great commitment to his profession, success in business, and tremendous contributions to his community, and we are extremely proud to be able to recognize his outstanding history of leadership," says Board of Trade President Linda Ford. "Like his grandfather, an eminent lawyer and crown attorney for Peel County, and father, he has been a strong advocate for Brampton."
Neil Davis is a partner in Davis Webb LLP, a company founded by his grandfather, A. Grenville Davis, in 1916. The law firm, one of Brampton's oldest, specializes in municipal and planning law. Other areas of the practice include environmental, commercial real estate and corporate law.
Neil has been a tireless promoter of Brampton and in particular downtown Brampton. He is passionate about building a city where its residents want to live and work and have their children stay. His community involvement also includes working with Sheridan College, The Brampton Board of Trade, Brampton Downtown Development Corporation, Peel Memorial Hospital Corporate Fundraising, Supportive Housing of Peel, Peel Children's Safety Village and the YMCA to name a few. He is also an advisor to the Brampton and Area Community Foundation.
Registration for the tribute dinner is $85 for Board of Trade members and $95 for non-members. For more information or to register, visit www.bramptonbot.com or call 905-451-1122 ext. 200.
