Tuesday was Canada Day. After proudly displaying the Canadian flag in front of my house, I went with my little dog around the subdivision where I live, to see how many of my neighbours were as proud as I am to display the symbol of our country on this day. To my disappointment, I noticed only a couple of small flags on a porch and a faded one on a parked car. We have every reason to be proud of our country, and to display our flag on Canada Day would be a good way of showing it. I wouldn’t want us to go to the extreme of our neighbours south of the border on the fourth of July, but a little more pride about our country wouldn't hurt.
