BRAMPTON - Reconnect with agriculture and amusement Sept. 11 to 14 during Brampton's 155th annual Fall Fair.

The perennial affair that features everything from homecraft and horse shows to demolition derbys is gearing up to be the most exciting yet with a sunny forecast ahead, and new events lined up.

"We're hoping to have 20,000 people attend this year," said Fall Fair secretary manager Brenda Bebbington. "It's a great opportunity for the urban dwellers to meet their rural neighbours."

This year, the fair will feature two new events that Bebbington expects will draw out big crowds.

The first, an FMX motorcycle show will take place on Friday Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. in the main ring. The second is a draw for a trip valued at $2,800, and involves a casino-style game happening in the beer garden. This easy-going casino atmosphere will give players the opportunity to learn to play Black Jack or Roulette, practice their skills or just have some fun. For those partial to the slots, limited machines will also be available.

As well, patrons will find many of their favourite events returning, such as the demolition derby, livestock shows, demonstrations and of course the midway. Last year's success of the inaugural Fair Deal game- a spin off of the game show Deal or No Deal- will bring the game back for a second round this year.

"It's a four-day event where we try to focus on bringing fun activities for the whole family," said Bebbington.
