Annual fund-raisers run, walk and skate Sunday

BRAMPTON - The annual fund-raiser held in memory of Brampton Sports Hall of Fame inductee Wilf Hartzenberg hits the streets this Sunday.

The Wilf Hartzenberg Memorial 2K-5K Walk/Run/Rollerblade event begins with post registration at 9 a.m. at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board's Catholic Education Centre, 40 Matheson Blvd. (at Hwy. 10) in Mississauga. The event is kicking off the board's 2008 United Way Campaign.

Hartzenberg is a former teacher and principal at the board who was an avid runner. He competed in the Boston Marathon and represented Canada at the Masters' Games.

The family-oriented event features a pre-start mass, activities for children, a draw for prizes and a barbecue.
