BRAMPTON -
Mississauga – Peel Regional Police Homicide
Detectives are hoping to identify and speak with witnesses they believe
saw the getaway vehicle fleeing the scene of Saturday’s early-morning
murder.
On Saturday, March 15, 2008, at approximately 3:00 am, uniform officers responded to the area of Brandon Gate Drive and Rockhill Road,
due to a report of possible shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers
located 47 year-old Winston WATSON suffering from gunshot wounds. He
was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his
injuries.
Investigation has revealed that the victim was confronted by the suspect while walking home in an easterly direction on Brandon Gate Drive. The suspect then shot the victim multiple times and ran a short distance to a silver or grey car, which was waiting on Rockhill Road. The vehicle then sped off aggressively, turning right to go east on Brandon Gate Drive. At
that time, a second eastbound vehicle came to a stop at that
intersection and the occupant(s) would have observed the getaway
car. Investigators are hoping that the following clip filmed at the
scene will assist in identifying the witnesses:
