This year, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and Metafore IT Solutions is aiming to raise $100,000 for Community Living Mississauga, a non-profit charitable organization which provides support to over 1,600 individuals with an intellectual disability.
On Monday, July 7 starting at 8:30 am at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton, approximately 250 golfers will tee off in this annual tournament. Media is welcome to attend.
Lisa Bentley, a former Dufferin-Peel teacher and one of the most successful Ironman Tri-athletes ever will be a special guest at this event.

Golfers aim to raise $100,000 for charity
Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and business partner Metafore host 11th annual Classic golf tournament to benefit Community Living Mississauga
On Monday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m., over 250 golfers will hit the links at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton as part of the 11th annual charity Classic golf tournament.
The Classic has raised close to $850,000 for various charities over the past 10 years. Co-hosted by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and business partner, Metafore, the event is expected to raise close to $100,000 for Community Living Mississauga, a non-profit, charitable organization which provides support to individuals who have an intellectual disability.
Participants in the Classic are employees of Dufferin-Peel and Metafore, as well as business partners of both organizations.
Beneficiaries of the tournament proceeds are selected by a committee and must operate locally and have links to youth in the community. Past beneficiaries include: ShareLife, S’port for Kids, Kidney Foundation, Sunshine Foundation, Diabetes Association, and Four Winds Boys’ Camp.
Special guest at this year’s event is Lisa Bentley, a former Dufferin-Peel teacher and Ironman triathlete. With eleven career Ironman wins, Lisa is one of the most successful Ironman athletes ever.
