WHAT:  The March 2008 provincial budget included $100 million to improve the condition of social housing units, with $5.5 million allocated to the Region of Peel.

Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Jim Watson, will make the funding announcement at Fletcher’s Creek Co-operative in Mississauga. The 79-unit

Co-op, constructed in 1993, will receive $2.5 million for much-needed roof repairs, window replacements and improved ventilation systems.
