Peel Police - Cause of Death Released in Brampton Homicide
The Brampton Guardian

BRAMPTON -

Brampton – An autopsy has been completed on the victim of the Region’s thirteenth murder.

On Monday, June 30th 2008 at approximately 11:20 p.m., police were summoned to a residence on Woodsend Run in Brampton, for a report of shots fired at a house party. The lifeless body of 31 year old Glenford REID, aka “Prento”, of Brampton, was located at the scene.

An autopsy was conducted on July 3rd, 2008, at the Coroner’s Building in Toronto and the cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives from the Homicide Bureau have received limited cooperation from witnesses thus far, yet the house party was attended by a large number of people who have information that would greatly assist investigators. The majority of persons that were in attendance are law-abiding citizens, including adults, and many innocent children.

Further investigation has revealed that a very young child was grazed by gunfire and could have been seriously injured or killed. We are very fortunate there were not more victims, and as such, Homicide officers are once again appealing for witnesses to come forward and put an end to this unnecessary violence.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to contact the Homicide Bureau at (905) 453-2121 ext. 3205. Witnesses may also leave an anonymous tip by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
