Erik is currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School. Other than that he is a regular teenager. He enjoys reading a variety of novels along with completing the tons of homework assigned by teachers. Erik earned Knight's Club honours by achieving an average of 91.25 per cent in Grade 10 last year.

Erik was recognized as one the school's two top Grade 10 academic achievers during this year's award ceremonies.
