BRAMPTON - Central Peel Secondary School graduate Krystal Campbell is the first ever recipient of the Kids & Horses Scholarship.
The 18-year-old is a graduate of the co-op program at Central Peel and is currently in the animal care program at Sheridan College. She hopes to become a veterinary technician.
The scholarship, provided by the Kids and Horses Foundation, will help cover the cost of her college program for one year. She was awarded the scholarship because of her enthusiasm while working with horses as well as for academic achievement.
The Kids & Horses Foundation, founded in September 2005, is a non-profit organization located in Caledon and dedicated to giving motivated children the opportunities to learn about horses.  The scholarship is awarded to a graduate of the program who wants to pursue college level studies, leading to a career involving horses.
